Germany and the U.S: Not so different after all....
The teen drug abuse in Germany is about the same as the substance abuse found in the United States. Although Germany has had its ups and downs with drug usage, it has a shockingly high level of early smokers and is in the region that has the highest level of narcotics. Both the United States and Germany have put the stimulants taken as an illegal substance. However, in both countries those rules are broken daily and the age of the consumers gets younger. Both countries fear that the increasing number of teens who intake drugs will keep increasing and may even lower the standards of the country. In Germany, there has been recent report that cocaine is getting in the hands of these teenagers easily daily. Both the United states and Germany support the National Synthetic Drug Action Plan and try to find new ways to combat and tame drug abuse. It's a small world once you think about it because both the teenagers in the United States and in Germany do drugs simply to gain social status or to relieve stress.
